Recent Grants – 2020

In 2020 Woods Charitable Fund distributed $1,645,750, making grants to 44 organizations for projects based in Lincoln, Nebraska. Grants ranged in size from $5,000 to $300,000; the average grant size was $32,270.

This includes WCF’s third Breakthrough Initiative Grant, which was awarded to Lincoln Literacy for Bridgeway to a Better Life, which provides job-skills training, mentorship and classes to build skills toward well-paying careers. Over three years, the grant is pledged for $500,000.

To serve needs that arose in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, Woods Charitable Fund created a new funding category for those immediate requests. WCF made 5 grants totaling $49,000 primarily to fulfill child-care and unexpected financial demands.
