Recent Grants – 2018
In 2018 Woods Charitable Fund distributed $1,636,500, making grants to 52 organizations for projects based in Lincoln, Nebraska. Grants ranged in size from $3,500 to $400,000; the average grant size was $28,711. This includes WCF’s second Breakthrough Initiative Grant, which was awarded to Legal Aid of Nebraska with collaboration from the Center for Legal Immigration Assistance for UPLIFT, which provides direct legal services to clients through four Lincoln cultural centers. Over three years, the Breakthrough grant for Legal Aid was pledged for $480,000, and the grant to the Center for Legal Immigration Assistance was pledged for $120,000.
